SurveyHey (first name), how's it going? This is with American Income Life, calling about your life insurance benefits. Just to confirm I have the right information pulled up, is your mailing address still (address)? … Great. Now no worries, the reason for the call here today is to notify you that you may qualify for preferred benefits, while also having the option of lowering your monthly payments. … Are you still paying on your policy, has it lapsed, or did it never get set up?
If they say "I don't have a policy with you"
ObjectionThat's right, American Income Life isn't your current company. The letter was American Income Life letting you know about the benefits they offer, like the hospital and cancer protection, and the chance to lower what you pay now. So I'm comparing what you have with what American Income Life can offer. Who is your policy with now?

Survey reviewSo right now you have $200,000 for $66.10 a month. Let me see if I can get you more coverage for that same $66.10, or the same coverage for less. Either way you'd keep your current policy until the new one is approved and in force.
Repeat it back
NeedsSo (first name), if something happened to you, you'd want your family to have the money to cover the funeral without going out of pocket. Is that right?
Health
Ask every question. A loose qualify turns into a decline a week later.
Health questionsNow, the only thing that would keep you from qualifying for these benefits is a major medical condition or prescription, so I'm going to ask a few required questions to make sure you qualify. (E-app: go to page 2 and ask ALL the health questions, word for word. If no to cancer, sell the cancer policy and explain the benefits. Then back to page 1.)

Program
The carrier: American Income Life has been around since 1951 and is part of Globe Life, which has more life policies in force than any other U.S. life insurer. AIL is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best and paid over $287 million in life claims in 2025.
The service: customer service is based in the U.S. (headquarters in Waco, Texas). Whole Life comes with the Freedom of Choice certificate, so the family decides how the final expense money is used, not a funeral home.
You: most people never hear from their agent again. You're full time, in this for the long term, and one call away whenever they need help.
Say: "I work with American Income Life, part of Globe Life, which has more life policies in force than any other company in the country. And unlike most agents, I'm full time and I'll be your agent for the long haul, so if you ever need anything, you call me directly."
Same sales process. Focus less on the coverage amount and more on the added benefits. Cover as many concepts as you can.
ProgramI work with American Income Life. What I like about their program is that it doesn't just cover your final expenses. It also protects you while you're living: it pays you if you get hurt or end up in the hospital, and if you're ever diagnosed with cancer. Let me show you what you qualify for.
Concepts covered
Word tracks
A71: get hurt, get paid
This benefit not only covers your family if you pass away but also protects you while you are living. It will pay you cash for every day you are hurt or in the hospital, to cover your medical bills or your regular bills if you can't work. Does that make sense?
CNM: cancer protection
Now unfortunately, 1 out of every 2 Americans will get diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. So we provide this benefit just to make sure, God forbid that ever happens, you can take care of your bills and don't end up in medical debt.
ADB + RC10: income protection
This will replace your income for a number of years if you passed away, so your family can keep paying the bills and the mortgage.

More coverage: +$5,000 life coverage for $0.78 less a month
Lower premium: +$0 life coverage for $4.39 less a month
Compare like for like: accidental and cancer benefits aren't the same as permanent life coverage. Replacing means a new contestability period, possible new waiting periods and lost cash value. If you can't beat what they have, say so. Never replace an American Income Life policy.
Pitch(first name), based on what you told me, I put together 2 options, Bronze, Silver and Gold, and each one covers more than just a funeral. Most families in your situation go with More coverage at $65.32 a month. S3 Which one fits comfortably without taking food off the table?
Objections A8
Agree, Answer, Ask: validate the concern, answer it truthfully, then ask a question that moves forward.
"I need to think about it."
Totally fair. Usually when someone says that, it's either the price or the coverage. Which one is it for you? If it's the price, we can adjust the coverage to fit. If it's the coverage, let's go over it again right now while I have you.
"It's too expensive."
I hear you. What monthly number would you be comfortable with? Let's build it around that so your family still has something in place instead of nothing. Then switch to the package that fits their budget.
"I need to talk to my spouse."
That makes sense since it protects both of you. Is your spouse home now? We can bring them on the line, or set a callback when you're both there.
"I already have insurance."
Good, that's smart. Who is it with, what do you pay and how much is it for? Work coverage usually ends when the job ends. This one is yours and stays with you. Agent: if it's an American Income Life policy, stop. Never replace it.
"Who are you? How did you get my info?"
Restate your name, that you're a licensed agent, your agency, and the actual lead source.
"Just mail me something."
I can do that, but everything you'd get in the mail is what we just went over. The application only takes a few minutes, and you'll get the policy in the mail to review after.

Assume the sale and go straight into the application. Stay on the phone until it's signed.

Added benefits
Lead with what American Income Life adds: hospital and cancer protection.
Hospital (A71) needs a health license
Word trackAmerican Income Life has a hospital benefit. It takes care of your family if you pass away, and it also pays you up to $500 a day if you're ever hurt and end up in the hospital, so you can cover your medical bills and expenses. Does that make sense?
Set-up question
Now like I said, you may qualify for some preferred benefits. Did your previous agent go over those with you? … Do you have health insurance right now?
Cancer
Word trackUnfortunately, 1 out of every 2 Americans will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. As long as nothing shows up on the medical check, you can qualify for up to $150,000 that pays out if you're ever diagnosed or treated for cancer, so you can take care of your bills and don't end up in medical debt. Does that make sense?
Set-up question
Is there any reason you don't have cancer protection on your policy now? … Have you ever been diagnosed or treated for cancer?
Ever diagnosed or treated for cancer?
Give them the options
Two options against what they have now: more coverage for about the same premium, or the same coverage for less.
The carrier: American Income Life has been around since 1951 and is part of Globe Life, which has more life policies in force than any other U.S. life insurer. AIL is rated A (Excellent) by A.M. Best and paid over $287 million in life claims in 2025.

OptionsOkay (first name), let me give you your options. Do you have a pen and paper to write these down? If not, that's no problem. You're paying $66.10 a month now for $200,000, so I'll show you two options: one that gives you more coverage for about the same money, and one that keeps the same coverage for less.

And so you aren't confused, on your bank statement the new draft will say American Income Life. Make sense?
Verification call
VerificationAmerican Income Life, also known as Globe Life, will call you before your first payment to confirm the draft and some health information. Just answer their questions truthfully so the policy issues correctly. Does that make sense?
Save my number & referrals
Save my numberC14 Please save my number as a contact so you have a direct point of contact for your policy. If you want to make any changes, text or call me at ___. And what's the best number for your beneficiary, so they can reach me when it's time to use this policy?
If they mention spam calls
Spam callsA lot of my clients complain about people calling them all day. You can put your number on the National Do Not Call list at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from your phone, which should cut down the spam calls. And if anyone besides me or American Income Life calls you about your policy, call me first.
